We spent some lovely time in Hope Island with David, Catherine and 'Grandpa' to celebrate J.W (Bill's) big birthday. The image was taken, if I'm not mistaken, outside the local RSL, on a jeep borrowed for the celebration. Pictured next to David is Matt (at the back) and Ant Quinn, myself, my sister Jane Quinn (Matt and Ant's Mum), my Dad Bill Crook (David's brother) and my son Jack Crook. Was great to spend extended time in David's company rather than fleeting visits to AU, or David's whistle-stop tours of NZ. Such a great character, full of humour and cheeky quips. Dad (Bill) and I would often leave with aching sides from the laughing. David was a hero for me and will always be remembered as such. Rest in peace mate. Love always, John, Lee and Jack
